Branden Waits was born in 1977 in the
hometown of Buddy Holly (Lubbock, TX).  From an early age he aspired to be an entertainer. As a child he would invite neighbors over and perform skits along side his younger brother. During junior high he produced videos for his youth group and for class projects. In high school he worked part time at a video production company while still squeezing in time to perform in plays. After graduating high school, Branden landed a full time position for a local advertising agency as a producer and copywriter. In 1999, Branden moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream of acting. He quickly landed his first leading role in a film called “WAITING ON THE LOST” which placed in the Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival, Texas Film Festival, and the New York International Film/Video festival. Shortly after Branden worked on several feature films and commercials which enabled him to join the Screen Actors Guild. Branden’s follow-up leading role was a road trip comedy, “29 REASONS TO RUN”. Shooting on location in Los Angeles, the Grand Canyon, Texas, Louisiana, and South Georgia in one month. The film received eight awards including “Best Ensemble Cast” and “Best Feature”.  Branden’s talents don’t stop with just acting. He has also worked behind the scenes in several projects as an Art Director and Set Designer. Keep an eye out for the post-apocalyptic thriller “DEADLAND” in which Waits plays a disturbing Providence Officer  Clarence Myers. Scheduled to be released in the fall of 2008.

Review:
"Still, much of the "29 Reasons to Run’s” charm lies in the casting of Branden Waits.  He displays the type of screen presence that is necessary for an actor to break out of the pack and achieve true stardom.  Waits style combines the best qualities of Scott Wolf and Chad Allen."
